Training for volunteers

We know what an incredibly valuable role volunteers can play in our local communities. We also know what a hugely rewarding experience volunteering can be, and how volunteering can contribute significantly to building people’s confidence, knowledge and skills, as well as helping to improve their employability.

We have developed and run a wide range of very successful volunteer programmes in London, as part of EU-funded projects and even in Bangladesh! This has included training volunteers as befrienders and trainers to support migrant women, parents supporting other parents and local residents engaging and supporting their neighbours. We also support volunteers and partner organisations to develop and use effective strategies to help maximise the success and impact of volunteering.

You can see examples of some of our work with volunteers on these projects below, as well as some of the materials we have developed and contributed to such as the Welcome to the UK  befriender toolkit, and videos filmed with befrienders and also in Bangladesh as part of the ACE project.

Please feel welcome to get in touch with us to discuss training and supporting volunteers.
