Co-funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union and delivered by a range of European partners from November 2019 to August 2021, Digital Literacy in Europe (DiLitE) explored digital literacies in the lives of adult migrant learners and others across Europe.
Project summary
The DiLitE project succeeded in its main aims – practitioners everywhere are moving towards more provision of digital literacy teaching, and this project will have been one of the first to provide them with not only quality resources and guidance in relation to this, but also a clear sense of what a digital literacies curriculum should look like in terms of principles that can be applied to a very fast-changing environment.
This project represented a landmark of sorts in the switch towards a greater focus on digital literacies as opposed to pen and paper literacy in literacy teaching to adults.
