Funded by Walking and Cycling Grants from 2020-2022, Walk & Talk supported socially isolated migrant families and residents in Lambeth and Southwark by training and supporting a team of 20 local volunteers to plan and run thematic community-based walks for the local community
Key project statistics
20 volunteers were trained in using walking and talking as an innovative approach to supporting integration. They came up with a varied programme of 14 thematic walks that attracted 227 walkers who built their confidence in meeting and interacting with other local people and increase their knowledge of their local area.
