Case study – ESOL learner & author

Kahina Meghari
Learner on CLIP Project and author of A lockdown story, Our lockdown adventure and Lockdown in Norfolk

Kahina joined our Communities Language and Integration Project (CLIP) online ESOL classes in September 2020. As an Algerian mother of three young children she was keen to improve her English to support her children and build a new life in London.

Kahina rarely missed a class and in July 2021 passed her Level 1 speaking and listening exams.

In September 2021 she moved to our advanced class and joined our additional writing short course.

Her story about spending lockdown in Norfolk was published as part of our award-winning series of Literacy for Active Citizenship ESOL readers.

In June 2022 Kahina passed her Level 2 speaking and listening exams.

“Thank you for this opportunity. The CLIP Project and all its activities are amazing.”
