The pedagogical benefits of the ‘carousel of activities’ approach.

It encouraged learners to:

  • work in small groups
  • discuss ways of solving problems
  • physical movement between activities

It promoted:

  • communication skills related to subject knowledge
  • self awareness of own subject knowledge and skills
  • independent learning and self-assessment
  • peer support and social skills
